The Class of 2010 surprised and delighted all the members of the Marymount community with their presentation of “Lyla’s Grand Debut” last week. The original script, written and directed by Juan Sebastian Fernández, was humorous, meaningful, and entertaining. We know that María José McCausland loves to act and dance. As Lyla, she had many of us in the audience thinking that she was lip-syncing when, in fact, she was performing live. We’re still wondering “who let the dogs out”, where did Valentina Rosas get that coat, and do any of the seven dwarfs wear a size 7 shoe?
Congratulations to Juan Sebastian, María José, and all the other cast members and dancers, the stage hands, the scenery designers, the light and sound engineers, the ticket staff, parking attendants, and the teachers who made this production possible. Thank you for helping us see the value each of us has because we are different and for reminding us to “love God, each other, and the world around us”.

Concurso Nacional de Matemáticas
National Math Contest |

Con gran orgullo registramos el triunfo de Camilo Andrés Espinosa Bernal, quien obtuvo el Primer Puesto a nivel nacional, en la XXIV Olimpiada Colombiana de Matemáticas para Primaria. Camilo fue invitado a Bogotá, donde recibió el merecido premio de manos de la Rectora de la Universidad Antonio Nariño.
Esta competencia consta de tres pruebas, las cuales se iniciaron en Abril y continuaron hasta la fecha. En el proceso, los alumnos fueron acumulando puntos hasta quedar clasificados cinco estudiantes, quienes compitieron por el Colegio y obtuvimos el Cuarto lugar a Nivel Nacional. Los estudiantes fueron: Camilo Espinosa, Germán Restrepo, Laura López, Alejandro Grisales, Andrés Villarreal. Felicitaciones! |

It is with great pride that we would like to share with you the triumph of Camilo Andrés Espinosa Bernal who won First Place, nationwide, in the XXIV Olimpiada Colombiana de Matemáticas para Primaria. Camilo was invited to go to Bogotá to receive this remarkable award from the hands of the Director of Antonio Nariño University.
This three-part competency began in April and has continued to the present date. During this process the students accumulated points until there were only five remaining students who classified for the school and won the Fourth Place nationwide. The students were: Camilo Espinosa, Germán Restrepo, Laura López, Alejandro Grisales, and Andrés Villarreal. Congratulations! |

Concurso Futuros Olímpicos

Día Regional de las Matemáticas
Con orgullo les informamos que el Colegio clasificó, en los tres niveles, para participar en el concurso de Día Regional de las Matemáticas, en el cual obtuvimos el Segundo Lugar en las tres pruebas. A continuación mencionamos a los alumnos que participaron:

Regional Math Day
We are proud to inform you that our School classified, in the three levels, to participate in the Regional Math Day Competition and won the 2nd. Place in each of the levels. The students who participated in each level are:
