Segundo Rojo fue la clase ganadora debido a su constante esfuerzo y a la participación de cada estudiante. |

La comunidad de las Religiosas del Sagrado Corazón de María (RSHM) fue fundada en febrero de 1849 por un grupo de mujeres seguidoras de la obra del Padre Jean Gailhac, cuya misión era seguir a Jesús y crecer en conocimiento y amor a Dios, en Beziers, Francia.
La religiosa Johanna Butler, miembro de esta comunidad y nacida en Irlanda, fundó el primer colegio Marymount en América. Debido a su origen y siendo San Patricio el patrón santo de Irlanda, trajo consigo la tradición de celebrar el día de San Patricio en todos los colegios Marymount del mundo. |

In 1944 Monsignor Perdomo, Archbishop of Bogotá invited the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary (RSHM) to explore the possibility of beginning a school in Colombia. In 1948 the first Marymount was founded in Bogotá and in 1953 in Barranquilla.
Since Mother Butler, member of our community (RSHM), was born in Ireland, and St Patrick was the patron saint of this beautiful island, she brought with her the tradition of celebrating this feast in all Marymount Schools. |
